I have a 3 year old ulterra that will not stow properly.
Most of the time I have to hit the stow button and let it clock itself (at this time it will not raise itself) unplug the power, wait a couple of seconds, plug it back in and hit the stow button again and it will stow. I have had it in the shop twice now. The first time they replaced the mother board and armatuer and when I took it back out it worked twice then back to unplugging every time I wanted to stow it. The second trip to the shop they replaced the tilt motor, this was last week, I took it out Saturday and it never stowed itself, again I can unplug it for a few seconds and when I plug it back in it will stow. I took it back to the shop this morning and they don't know what is causing the problem. If anybody is or has dealt with this problem please let me know how you resolved it please. I've already invested $900.00 in repairs.

Sent you a PM. By the way, is the same shop making the repairs? I tried one larger shop first and they returned it still not functioning properly so now I am going to another shop and let them work on it.

There are a couple of regular maintenance issues that have to be addressed. The first is the belt tension. The belt has to be stretched and snug in the track and there is a screw adjustment in the head for this. Second it requires marine grade grease on the tilt section. The shaft and inside collar require being sprayed with water-based silicone. If each of this issues has been done and the unit will still not function correctly, I would send it back to MinnKota to trouble shoot.

In the owners manual is states failure to stow could be a battery power issue. Not sure it that is the case with yours but maybe something to check out.
