My Hobie PA12 has a slow leak from the drain plugs. It is slowed best with Teflon plumbers tape, but I still get some water in the hull

I considered installing an electric bilge but dont need the headaches of maintaining another battery and drilling a hole

I purchased two manual all purpose water pumps at Walmart for $7. Each pump comes with two 6.5foot fluid intake tubes. The Hobie PA is a Tri-hull design, so I ran a total of three tubes (one each) along the bottom of both pontoons and the center hull to the rear third of the kayak. I scuffed them up with sandpaper and liberally applied Lexel, adhering the entry of the tube and the first 2ft of the tubes to the bottom the of each hull compartment

I ran the tubes to the large center hatch with plenty of extra tubing so I can easily pump
water out without any strain on the Lexel bond

Works great

I have a portable bilge pump I'll sell you. Just hook it to your battery when needed.

Prepare for the future-it will be here tomorrow.
