So they don't think that of all the people fishing that someone would turn them in? Either ignorant of law or just in your face. If I were the judge (believing any would show for court)I wouldn't fine you but you would have to go back to that area and remove 500lbs of trash.

It always amazes me that some people just never bother to check the regulations. There is a small stream in the nearby Chickasaw National Recreation Area that I flyfish a lot. One day I encountered a young man and his wife tossing a net off a bridge into the stream. I told him he might want to put that away before a ranger drove by. I informed him I was pretty sure it was illegal and he really didn't want to get caught by a national park ranger fishing illegally. As he was wrapping up his net his wife asked him what he was doing, and I told her that her husband was trying to save them a lot of money.

I hope more get caught. I personally have seen a group of 6 guys 4 with nets 2 with buckets clean out Denton creek. Two would walk either side of the bank and two were in the water throwing nets with bucket guys on either side. They continued until they saw my brother and I and they quickly packed up and left. Makes me sick

Know your local warden cell phone numbers if you see them out on the Rivers asked them if you can get there a number to call. When more of them get caught less it�s going to happen as word spreads.

Yup be sure they�re netting game fish first. Some net bait themselves to save money, and there�s nothing more frustrating than having a warden called on you while following the law.
