MIKE SHULTZ GOES "SOLO" TO TAKE THE BPS GRAPEVINE SERIES SEASON OPENER WITH 23.45 POUNDS! The Bass Pro Shops Grapevine Series kicked off the 2018 season today (March 18th) on Lake Grapevine! Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine played host to the (33) teams competing today on a very "stingy" Lake Grapevine. Mike Schultz continued his string of top finishes fishing solo and topping the field with a 23.45 pound limit which was anchored by a 5.82 kicker which also grabbed the second BIG BASS payout! Jeff Haggard & Kelly Mauldin finished a close second sacking 22.75 pounds. Third place was claimed by the duo of Mike Dreschel & Doug Dalton with their 19.99 pound limit which included the "JAMES WOODS MOTORS BIG BASS BONUS - COURTESY OF JUSTIN DUBOSE" weighing 6.55 pounds. Jeromy Porter & Brandon Dillard finished in the fourth spot weighing 19.90 pounds, and rounding out the top five was Matt Campbell & Brian Delgado with 18.27 pounds. You're in good company K.D.! While several impressive sacks were weigh-in today (somebody always catches them) many well known teams on the Vine struggled all week during practice and could not fill their limit! The recent lake level changes may have made the bite a bit tough!

It was awesome to see all of you today! We had a lot of new anglers/teams fishing the series for the first time, a good group of series veterans as well as welcoming back several that we haven't seen for a few years!
