My Champion will do it if I just go from full throttle to stop. Easy to prevent. Like said before, slow it down, dont just stop it, lower the trim or when you stop fast you know it is going to happen just throttle forward a bit right before it hits.

Going from full throttle to nothing is how you break a reed and blow a powerhead if you're running a mercury.

My bass boats did it, my bay boat don't.

Drill 3 holes in the transom? Recipe for disaster.

Yep, listen to the guys that say to trim down all the way before stopping and it should stop coming over the back. I have to do it in my Champion or the throttle thing, easier to trim down though.

Sorry I didn't mean to come off that way but after reading the post I guess I did. Also I should have said back off hotfoot and when wake catches up give it a little throttle and wake will ride right under the boat......

I put a "holeshot plate on my champ.
didn't do much for holeshot, however it does catch water on stopping and holds the stern up a little longer , reduced the throttle feathering.

My skeeter does it if I shut down quick. I'm just in a habit of slowing down to a stop. 2013 TZX 190.

I have the exact same boat. Same situation. A little blip of the hotfoot and the problem is gone.

Trimming down as you slow down will help a lot.
