Interesting day...water temp 69 degrees & windy. Boat traffic not bad til around 1:00. Fished 9:00 to 3:45 mostly upper lake. Best bite was from 12:30 to 3:30. Caught 2 Guadalupe bass, 4 largemouth, 2 red ear, 2 catfish, & around 25 bluegill. The biggest largemouth was around 4 lbs & was an epic battle on ultra-light with the wind and brush pile. Also, one of the red ear was one I had caught before and released with the hook still imbedded deep. Managed to get both hooks out this time, nut not sure about survival. She did seem to swim away ok. All caught on night crawlers & released for bankers future enjoyment ...

As always super report Vogey. The fish must have stayed on the upper part of the lake. Myself and Catyakker fished some docks from 11:30am till 3:30pm on the lower end of the lake. Rick-Catyakker managed one Carp hook up and had a brief fight before it broke off at the leader. Other than that we caught about Six Bluegill, one nice Redbreast, and a Channel Cat! The wake boats started to come out around 1:30 p.m. The wind had also picked up. Still had a super time. thumb

Banker...One of the advantages of fishing up-river is that you don't get harassed by as many large wake boats...especially in the no-wake zone. Did you see (hear) the air boat? Man, those things are loud ! It takes about 15 minutes for the water & fish to settle down when they pass. I thought you might be fishing around Schumans ramp, but checked the guys out, and it wasn't you...

Did not see the air boat that day but saw it a few days earlier. taz That boat can make some BIG WAVES! bang We saw several of the local wave boats and a bunch of bass boats. Once Memorial Day get's here you need to fish Dunlap during the night or very early morning. nuts

Side Note: It's been the rule for the river lakes. Late September till Memorial Day the lakes are the anglers. Memorial Day through Mid September they are for the wake boats, ski boats, and jet fleas! nuts
