Where's the best place in the Flower Mound/Lewisville area to take my boat to get the impeller replaced on a Merc 150 EFI?

You can buy a whole new pump online for under $40 and do it yourself in less than an hour if you handy with tools. Plenty of youtube how to vids will show you the way. A few hand tools and some good silicone RV sealer for the dam and gaskets and you will be in bidness.

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Probably a dumb question...does it matter if I buy the Mercury brand or Sierra (after market)?

My assumption is to buy the Mercury but it's double the price of Sierra's

not against you doing it yourself, but if you're not pretty handy and accustomed to doing things like this, a lot can go wrong and you might open a can of worms.

This! Two major killers of outboards: lack of coolant and lack of lubrication. The water pump obviously provides the coolant, so it MUST be done right. Yes, easy to do, but you gotta do your homework first.

Have someone do it for you until you know exactly how to match up the lower unit shifter and the motor. Take it from someone that wished he had $$$$$$. my .02

The Sierra impeller is thinner. At least the ones I've seen. Get the real thing. They are not that much more and will last longer.
