How do you determine the sex of fish like bass and bluegill? Im having a hard time narrowing it down, and just think it would be cool to know. Pictures would help a ton if you have some by chance

There is a couple of YouTube videos that show the difference in bass. The bottom fin is dark/black on a female and clear for a male. Seems pretty easy to tell if that is true.

Reminds me of when my son was about 8 years old. There was a neighborhood dog who came to visit us in our front yard. My son said "she" lives down the street. I asked him if he knows how to tell a boy dog from a girl dog. He said "duuh....it's wearing a pink collar."
