Lowrance has YouTube videos out in last couple days with Ike revealing that Lowrance is coming out with a feature they call "Fish Reveal". It appears to be a Downscan feature that displays colored arches similar to 2D sonar fish arches instead of small white dots/blobs when running Downscan.
Anyone have any info if Fish Reveal will be available as a software update for Gen3 units or only as a feature in some new model sonar?

Fish Reveal is awesome and will work with Elite Ti, Gen3 and Carbon units. It will work on Total Scan, LSS2, HDI and 3D transducers. A sonar transducer has to be up & running for fish reveal to work on the LSS2 & 3D downscan. Software update coming later this month, so stand by.

It has my interest, but Id like to know what they are using for a fish reference. Example, does a turtle show as a fish?

Lowrance will be on-site at West Marine Lewisville this Sunday showing off the new Fish Reveal software.
If you want to talk electronics or see this new Game Changing Lowrance feature, I will be at West Marine from 9:30-3:30.

For any of you folks that like to be on the bleeding edge of software releases, it appears the HDS-3 version 7.0, HDS-Carbon 4.0 and EliteTi 5.0 is now available for download.

Patiently waiting to fly back to Texas this weekend and update mine as well. Been stuck on a business trip to Minnesota for the past week. Water is way too hard up here this time of year. What they call the land of 10,000 lakes looks more like the land of 10,000 ice skating rinks. Also too late in the season for ice fishing cause the temperature is finally over freezing during the day.
Oh and lucky me, I'm only home for a week and I have to fly back up here for two more weeks.

I'm protesting that they didn't update the Gen 2 units. Whats ironic about that is the Ti line is nothing more then a repackaged Gen 2 and it got the upgrade.
