Wood blocks to put under your font jack and stabilizers.
Leveling blocks and a level should your camper not have one built in.
Extra shore power cable. Sometimes the power is a long way from your camper.
Water pressure regulator!! I can't stress this enough. I saw someone blow pex lines at a site that had water pressure that was too high.
Bleach. Clean the water spigot before you connect to it. You never know what the previous person did...
Good wheel chocks. The $5 yellow ones will not keep a multi thousand pound camper from moving on un-level campsites.
If you have sewer at your site, keep your dump valves closed when hooked up. Only open them to dump. Sewer gas....
Lots of other little things. Everyone is different so what I had as a must get item after my first trip might not be what you need. (portable directv dish for night time hockey games).

As said, rv.net has the best anything-related-to-RVs forum. Join.

Got spare time? Browse thru the "Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos" thread under General RVing Issues. That'll keep you occupied a while.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Surge protector... we have a hard wired Progressive EMS 50. It's always in-line and is screwed to the floor next to the transfer switch. They make one for 30 amp as well.

Water pressure regulator is a brass 50 psi one sold at Walmart.

Six pages of tips for a simple camping trip? And it's not even roughing it!! He basically has a small home on wheels. Dude just pack some clothes, some food and you should be fine. You'll figure out what you need the more trips you make.

Teach your kids how to pack/unpack the camper and how to set up camp and tear down camp. It makes camping much easier when you can assign tasks to your kids.
