Going tomorrow to the Brazos around Painted rock and Hamms Creek to see if the sandies are running in the river. Anyone been out? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They are there....run up from Hamm's as far as you can and fish the sand bars/holes.

Your not too late. Been there 3 times in last week. Alittle slow, but we have been catching them. Look for 12-15 feet deep. Females still have eggs. Few strippers have been caught.

Guess I need to leave the wife at home, she wouldn't go for that.

Anybody care to share water temps? Going to be there next weekend with my brother and cousin. We will be camped at McCown Valley but would be willing to make the run up river if the sandies are going to be there.

I think he is trying to say that it is crowded and some the behavior of some of the people is stupid and rude. Which describes a lot of places and the people that frequent those places nowadays. And that is the reason that as much as I would like to take advantage of having many fish confined to a limited amount of water I will probably choose to take my chances on the main lake next weekend.

Nothing today, or at least I couldn't find them. Then again- they are cheaper at the store.
