Same as previous models...$265-315.00 depending on model chosen. There was no price increase even with the upgraded components.

Mark,
Can you explain the main differences between the new Orochi series vs. the Destroyer series? I do like the full cork option on the Orochi, but can deal with a split grip if the Destroyer offers a better blank. For what it's worth, I am comparing the Daemos and Diablo for a swimjig/chatterbait application and the FMJ vs Perfect pitch for a jig rod.

You are dealing with 2 totally different blanks and a lot more upgraded components on the Destroyer. You also see a price difference too. The Destroyers are in a league of their own. Great rods and the models run the gamut as far as covering all presentations. The FMJ is a great jig rod and that is one of the primary reasons why its so popular. I enjoy mine a lot.

I have used the XX series ever since they first were released and love the full cork handles. I love the overall feel and performance of the XX models. Now with the redesign you have 15 total models that easily can handle any technique. The Perfect Pitch is without question my favorite model. It can do so much. From flipping/pitching to jigs, hollow body frogs and even some moving baits. It gets the most use in my boat of any of them. I have a bunch of that model and usually have at least 3 on the deck ready to go.
As for the DSR in the XX series it is perfect for swim jigs. It also has a lot of other versatility but most MB rods do as that is a carryover from the JDM market. They tend to carry less gear and their setups usually stretch across a few different presentations.

Now with the new upgrades to the XX and the fact the price point stayed the same its hard not to own one.

Rods are at warehouse being sorted and packaged for shipment to dealers as we speak. They will start showing up at dealers next week.
