Boy and I out here for the week for spring break. Gust up to 40 mph so we are looking for things to do other than get on the lake any tackle shops or things to do around the area?

Next to the Exxon station is a pretty good one.

The Ace Truvalue in town used to have a pretty good tackle selection in addition to having just a decent all-around outdoors section. The one that 21xs Elite is referencing is the best I am aware of right now, but if you are looking to kill more time you might want to check out Ace.

Sorry for the wind. My dad is down there at our trailer right now, and he is skipping day two of his tournament due to the wind. Glad I stayed home. Alan Henry was nice yesterday.

Squib, is your dad fishing with the Castle Gap club? Friend of mine is a member of that club and has a trailer down there.

Yep. He fishes all of the tournaments and I fish some when I feel like making the trip. PM me about your friend. Good chance I know him.

Guess Patch's Tackle is still open? Take River St. to the right just past the Ranger Dealer. Turn left on the second street which the shop sets at the end of that street on the right.

Last I was in Ace hardware they were cutting WAY back.
As for Patch's I don't believe Minnie has replaced much since Patch passed.
Criswell at Amistad Marine and Karlins by the Exxon are both well stocked on good stuff.

Could always run up to the high bridge and also go to Judge Roy Beans old saloon and museum till the wind quits.

Karlins next to Exxon. They are good people and great tackle selection for stuff that works at Amistad.
