Indoor/outdoor carpet to lay in front of the door. Rope and screw in tiedowns to hold the canopy down in case the wind gets up. Lots of beer.

Try rv.net forum and you can search anything you need. We went from tent to travel trailer and now to a 5th wheel and truck camper. If you have specific questions feel free to pm me and I'll try to help.

Pack extra paddles
Rain gear
Don't over load a canoe, tip over too easy
Think twice about perishable foods needing ice for storage
If fishing for food keep just enough for the next meal, release the rest.

No matter how good a swimmer you are wear a pfd in the boat.

Man I've never camped in one of those. If y'all were tent camping I have a lot of suggestions. So I'll defer to the others.

I think you all will have a blast though! Good luck enjoy your trip.

Got a question about this item. I notice that some come with that Rubber piece on top. This usually adds $12 to the cost of a bare one. Does a person NEED the one WITH the rubber piece or would the bare one work? The rubber piece adds one more inch of lift BTW. I have noticed that Wallyworld sells them for $47.05 with the rubber piece. I don't think Etrailer .com sells them. I would also add a couple of jack stands to my inventory and a Road Emergency Kit....flares and such.

It just adds inch more clearance. There is another one called jiffy jack that is pretty good as well and may even be better

That's a nice rig Moto. We have had ours for going on 2 years and had it out serveral times. Our grey and black water tanks are not that big since we have a smaller 23' Winnebago. We found out the hard way that showers will fill a 33 gallon Grey water tank real quick. The first place we camped didn;t have FULL hookups, only water and electricity. And they don't like you dumping gray water, especially verboten in State parks. So now, we stay in Full hookup parks. Makes it much easier to just pull your gray and black water handles at the site. They make a collapseable like plastic trestle thing that adjusts under the black water hose (stinky slinky) to make the stuff run downhill to the dump ports. Someone was right when they said take a box of latex gloves for handling that thing. Also take a regular water hose in addition to a clean water hose. The regular hose comes in handy for rinsing the stinky slinky. Levels. Usually attached to your trailer (those stick on ones). Make sure your propane tanks are full. I have two and a valve between them. I always only run on one, that way when it runs out I can switch to the spare. It will get cool I think, the heater in the morning will be appreciated. Have fun!

Thanks gents. Pretty much packed everything that you guys said to.

I went shopping at dollar general, and pretty much have it set up so that we toss in clothes and food and go.

Gracias.

Love our camper - pretty similar to yours.

There is no way to provide a full list really. Just go camping the first time and start making a list in your phone of everything you need to get and pick it up before the next trip. As long as you've got a water hose, dump hose, electric cord, chocks for the wheels, levelers and a crank for the jacks, basic tools, a spare pack of fuses, and enough kitchen utensils and other stuff inside to get by, then you'll be fine first time out.

I'll try to add a list of everything I can think of, but this certainly isn't everything:

water pressure regulator
outside mat
inside rug
tow mirror extensions
toilet packets (little tabs to keep it from smelling)
water hose
dump hose
electric cord
extra hose if your unit has a black tank flush
hitch with weight distribution and sway control
drill bit for raising/lowering jacks (assuming yours aren't electric)
fuses
basic tool kit
broom & dust pan
small vacuum
shelf paper so stuff doesn't slide around
multi-compartment plastic bin with handle to put your shower stuff in when you're traveling
silverware
pots/pans/misc utensils
cups
lighter
lighter fluid
paper towel holder
kitchen towels
extra towels/rags for bathroom
soap for bathroom & kitchen sink
sheet set for master bed
exhaust fan padded inserts for insulation
sunblock
toothpaste
toothbrushes
bug spray
kitchen dish scrubber
trash can & bags (kitchen & bathroom)

Make sure the lug nuts are torqued right and the tires are at the right pressure and double-check your spare. And I would pack a lug wrench and jack that will work on your trailer since your truck equipment probably won't.

Have a good time man, we love ours!

Take your own fire wood, and Fritos make a very good fire starter.

Also, water pressure regulator.

And 2X6's cut to 4' long. 3-4 that you can use to drive one side of the camper on to level it side to side.

+1 - State parks and camping grounds are picked clean. The wood they sell @ Broken Bow isn't seasoned so it's hard to burn and really smokes a bunch!

Well known/well used camp site first few times. Ask anyone camping there to explain the ins and outs. They will be glad to help.

Gotta be careful with wood. Many parks are not allowing people to bring their own due to wood beetles. They will make you dump it.

And in TX state parks, collection of wood/brush is illegal.

The Duraflame logs are a good option if woods hard to come by. I always bring a few. Also make great fire starters ha ha. Even a noobie can get a great fire using one of those and then adding wood on top.

Good questions, I don't know. I got the black one on my boat trailer and tried it out when I got it and it's very easy to use.

Moto forgot this and could be one of the most important. A Portable surge guard. That way if there is ever a power surge or electrical issue at a campsite, it doesn't fry everything on your trailer.

Happy Camping!

Get a small rubbermaid tote and stock it with things that may be need at the last minute. Imodium, Tampons, Antacid tabs, small sewing kit, Q-tips,
Extra batteries, a disposable camera, band aids, and add other thing as time goes on.

Totes are great. I’ve got three. One for all my sewer stuff. One for my small table top grill and accessories. One for all my outside man stuff: few tools, hammer, tent stakes, ant killer, small level, disposable gloves, small tarp, bungee cords, rope, work gloves, and lotsa other small stuff.

Keeps stuff organized and handy.

Get another trailer to haul all this stuff in. But on another note, speaking of water pressure regulators, and electrical surge protectors....if you have an RV with these items, which one/variety do you use?

My experience ..... Went on a bird hunt with a bunch of friends to Three Rivers for many years. Pulling trailers like Motto has. We returned to our vehicles one fine evening after a nice Tejano meal and the one dude that didn't have a lock on his hitch. Gone. Cost him an arse load to get home. Just saying. FWIW. The one time we ever had a problem there.

Wood blocks to put under your font jack and stabilizers.
Leveling blocks and a level should your camper not have one built in.
Extra shore power cable. Sometimes the power is a long way from your camper.
Water pressure regulator!! I can't stress this enough. I saw someone blow pex lines at a site that had water pressure that was too high.
Bleach. Clean the water spigot before you connect to it. You never know what the previous person did...
Good wheel chocks. The $5 yellow ones will not keep a multi thousand pound camper from moving on un-level campsites.
If you have sewer at your site, keep your dump valves closed when hooked up. Only open them to dump. Sewer gas....
Lots of other little things. Everyone is different so what I had as a must get item after my first trip might not be what you need. (portable directv dish for night time hockey games).

Surge protector... we have a hard wired Progressive EMS 50. It's always in-line and is screwed to the floor next to the transfer switch. They make one for 30 amp as well.

Water pressure regulator is a brass 50 psi one sold at Walmart.

Teach your kids how to pack/unpack the camper and how to set up camp and tear down camp. It makes camping much easier when you can assign tasks to your kids.

This. I learned early what it took to camp. It didn’t deter me in any way from wanting to camp all the time.
