Some spools are "level wind", some are not. Difference? Just received a 1000yd spool that's not level wind (thought I ordered level wind). Just wondering if I should send it back.

They are not level winding bulk spools any longer.
From their marketing manager, “We have moved away from Level winding in bulk spool due to new technology that allows for better spooling that still eliminates the traditional issues that had been associated with spooling machines. We have conducted a large research study with this newly spooled line and found no issues with it. The strength, abrasion resistance, softness, castability, stretch, and line memory are all intact.” — Brian Evans
