Vertical offsets are technically more efficient.

Sometimes I suppose. I have both, and they both use the same amount of wood, and are like within 10 cubic inches of volume of each other.

It is a cool design, but I'll bet the whole thing seems a bit small for most guys. You couldn't put much meat in there either.

I've got the Southfork smoker from Brinkman. It looks just like the one that someone posted a pic of (only reversed). The one in the video is cool but wouldn't want to do all that rearranging after it's been all greased up and seasoned...
