I'm up early and am debating on kayak fishing up Rowlett Creek from the mouth or bank fishing due to the 20 mph wind. Caught a couple of hybrids last weekend, one keeper. The blue sit in. With flap cap. Any one interested in tagging along within the next hour I'll go. Winds will be heavy at the start, but will be ok once up the mouth.
If you know of an old Dagger Bayou 2 tandem kayak I am interested.

Ok, so, I went up to the Rowlett preserve on Centerville and fished a little this past Tuesday for a few hours and didn't catch anything from bank. Last Sunday I went to same spot and caught three nice sandies. The Saturday before that I caught a very nice hybrid from my kayak going up the creek from the mouth. I was about halfway up what I call the lower lip(looks like lips when looking on a map). I think these times are fairly accurate. I'm up early this morning for some reason and am wanting to take the kayak up the mouth again since the temperature is going to be warm, the wind will be south/sw, which will be good for the surface, the creek temperature will be above 60, and, hopefully, the barometric pressure will be below 30. Listening to the light rain coming down right now but should clear out within the hour. I'll be putting in between 7:30 and 9am. I probably won't catch like a Cary Thorne but I like fishing from a kayak better than from the bank, and where I go there is usually VERY little traffic, if any.
If you know of an old Dagger Bayou 2 tandem kayak I am interested.

Went Friday for about 4 hours up the RC and caught bubkus. Nada. The big goose egg. Will try again maybe Sunday, weather permitting. Did get to meet a few kayakers and bank fishermen. Was cool talking fishing. Can't wait to go again. Let me know if you want to go..
