Any suggestions on spots over night in Galveston?

Not really wanting to fish the piers. Thinking of going to either the TxCD or SLP any suggestion on either place or any where else?

how about Follet Island? cross the toll bridge at San Luis Pass and there's miles of good fishing and camping on the beach. some good bay fishing on the bay side of the road too. 4wd is a must.

Ive never actually crossed the slp toll bridge. I usually fish what I would assume was the north side and have never gone over night. Thanks for the info. I dont have 4wd but I do have a little Jeep Patriot that I havent managed to get stick yet.

A lot of vehicles get stuck out there. 4WD too. The grassy areas too.
