If you find one, let me know; because it sucks around here for tackle selection. As far as I know, we have 2 places to shop: Bass Pro or Academy bang

No tackle shops around here. There was one but he didn't make it. The Bass Pro Shops here is rather laughable with their tackle selection too.

Was in TA at Rayburn today and overheard something along those lines.

The Fishermans Corner on the north side of Canyon used to be pretty good, but with the internet times they too have suffered and dont carry near what they used to.

I was actually kind of sad when gander mtn closed in San Antonio since they carried a few different items.

Is this Tackle Addict going to have a store at the Boerne location too?

I don't have the real scoop but expect to be back in there next week and will see if I can find out their expansion plans. The Rayburn store is pretty good, good selection of rods and brands and plenty of all the technique baits. Even had Tatsu fluro. They were out of the Mardi Gras Zoom Super Flukes I wanted though.

I bet James won't be happy about that.

Tackle stores can come and go in Zapata, I'm glad FLT has made it 10 years.

A few years ago (7 or 8?), a newer one opened up that I think was called D&D. It was next to Subway. It was plenty big inside and all, but the next time I was in Zapata it went bye-bye.

If the new tackle store is run by Boerne Marine, it's gonna take them having some super special bait to get me in there. On a few different occasions, I've had nothing but trouble after taking my boat to Boerne Marine. They even recently re-did the hubs in one of my buddy's trailers, and not a month or two after that, he was stranded on the side of the road with hub problems.

Dang, I just started going there, I sure hope they are reputable. Im even considering buying a new Skeeter from them. I really dont want to have to drive up to Dallas for a good dealer.

Boerne Marine took good care of me. Good customer service, quality work, fast turn around and a Military discount. That's my experience with them at least.

So far I have been pleased with the limited work they have done for me.

Fisherman's corner is about it, probably not worth the drive if you are not already north side of sa. He has his full inventory on eBay under "TexasBassTackle" but his eBay shop is currently closed so that is probably not a good sign.
