The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our third monthly meeting of 2018 this Wednesday night, March 7th starting at 7:00PM. Please note that this is different from our usual day of Thursday! The restaurant at Bass Pro has an event booked for Thursday so we have moved this months meeting to Wednesday! We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Garland on the restaurant patio downstairs. It should finally be warm enough to be outside this month! Bring a jacket and you should be fine. We are taking memberships for the new year. David will be there taking money as usual, along with Brad and Brian helping with all the paper work. Membership costs $30.00 for the calendar year and includes your entire immediate family. If you are a returning member whose information has not changed, just pay your membership and sign the Sign In Sheet and your work is done. If you are a NEW member, or if you have moved, gotten a new phone number etc. we will need you to fill out an information sheet for the Club roster. We'll get you taken care of if you need some help.

We will talk about last months tournament on Lake Palestine. Fishing was very tough so if you finished in the money, come prepared to tell us how you did it. We will talk about the tournament coming up next Saturday March 10 on Lake Cypress Springs. As most of you know, Cypress was closed for a couple days last week from high water, but we have a week of dry weather coming so we should be okay. We will choose a back up lake just in case. We will be launching from Overlook Park and tournament hours are 6:20 - 3:00. Registration will start at the ramp at 5:15. Full tournament details can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. We will do Partner Finder and try and make sure everyone will have a partner for Cypress Springs that wants to fish. I believe we have a couple boaters looking for back seaters at this time. We will decide the ramp we will use for our April 14th tournament on Lake Tawakoni, and also what time weigh in will be.

We will award the prizes to our 2017 Anglers of the Year Andy and Ricky Medina. Winning AOY in this Club is not easy. Congratulations to them on a great year! We will decide where the RHBC Championship will take place in November. This is a two day event so if you are going to put a lake/lakes up for a vote, please do some research on places to stay and places to eat. We will talk about the community events that will take place in the coming year. Our first FFAC committee meeting is coming up in a couple weeks. If you are interested in helping, please let me know.
