Heading down 3/12 for a few days anyone have any tips on where to start? How has the fishing been down on the coast? Last time I looked N - NE winds lows in the 50s and highs 70. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks
JJ

Sunday the fish were blowing up topwaters, but I caught most fish on DSL chicken of the C. They were on the glass minnows, all had bellies full of em. We could see the reds running them up onto the banks all afternoon. I was thigh deep over mud and there were birds working all around us.

I'll be down there the same days you are. I'd like to get there Sunday with the front coming through that night but doesn't look like that will happen. With the north wind and cooler temps I'm gonna be looking for some deeper drop offs with mud and shell. if the sun peeks out I'll be back in the shallow mud on wind-blown banks looking for birds and baitfish.

I'm no expert and I could be dead wrong about all this! Hope I'm not steering you in the wrong direction good luck!

It’s been tough the past 2 days, did manage 3 stingrays, 2 whiting and 1 jack. Finally found some mullet tonight and a few squid in the cast net. Going to try and cut those tomorrow and try some bottom fishing. Any one else have any luck

I absolutely tore up the black drum on Sat. Found a school boiling about 100ft wide and followed them till the other boats caught on and crowded me out. caught 3 on Down South Chicken of the C and the last 2 on shrimp.
