You typed all the other stuff.
What the heck is fml.
Fishing forum...type it out so we all know.
Adm: Jury duty might be fun if it's a cool case. You might enjoy it.
Adm II: Adm is short for "Addendum," but it does Nt, short for "NOT," have the same ring. See what I mean. Type it out and take a few more strokes.
...! Ask a student what FML is

I did learn not to show up early. Show up late like 80% of the rest. You just sit around for a couple hours. But it's my civic duty so every couple years I just smile and bare it.

No comment on what fml means.
It could be fun. I did it when I was 23. Criminal trial. Was fun. But I had far less responsibility at work then and fancied not working... now not so much.

I enjoy the question process. If you want to be picked, don't say much when you answer questions, and appear to be simple minded. If you appear smart, 1 of the 2 sides will dismiss you. If you appear gullible, slow, or agreeable, you will be more likely than to be picked.

What if I act full mentally challenged?
If we just avoid getting that far...make a deal and send us home.
Anyone have suggestions for lunch near Denton county courthouse?

Anyone have suggestions for lunch near Denton county courthouse? Have a pizza delivered to the court room, offer up a slice to the judge and prosecutors, but not that guilty defendant

Where I'm going to sound super bright, influential, and strongly opinionated. I could go for a burger. Been really good on my diet but today is a good day for a cheat meal.

Emit, are you registered to vote in your home county? Jury notices are generally pulled from voter registration records. Not any more. The jury list is from the Secretary of State's office. It's a combined list of voter registrations and DPS records (driver licenses, and TX ID cards). Being registered to vote does not affect whether you end up on the list unless you also have no TX DL and no TX ID. It has been that way for years.

If you don't want to get picked act hard of hearing. Even in the waiting room ask people in charge to repeat themselves.

Yet, can't seem to figure out how to get called to do jury duty.
Emit, are you registered to vote in your home county? Jury notices are generally pulled from voter registration records. Some people never get called up. My Mom had a friend that would get called up a couple times every year.
Yup, registered, votes, has Drivers license, owns property/home. Biggest problem I think, is that I have moved every 3-5 years of my life since I turned 17. Maybe now that I have settled down (been here 3 years) I will start getting called on.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Score one for complaining!
Deputy came in the room said, "well this is unusual but of the 3 cases today they all settled. You are all dismissed!"
A cheer erupted haha. Civic duty done!

Anyone wondering about how they pull the jury or he gets elected to show up. The clerk told us at the beginning it's pulled by either of the following registered to vote in Denton County or have a driver's license with a Denton County address
