2 weeks in. 10 pounds down but I look like I am down 20. Alot of that is beer/water weight. I was swole up like Elvis before he died.
Feeling better and riding the heck out of the bike. Burning around 700 cals/day on it. Did some mountain biking at PK lake this weekend as well.
Intermittent fasting has gotten really easy. Even did a 24 hour fast last week.

The fast is really simple. Basically the easiest way to start is to just skip breakfast.
I shut everything off at 9PM. I then go to 1 PM the next day on nothing but water and black coffee.

Thanks! The report would be better if I would put down the Mich Ultras lol. I have 7 or so a night (I REALLY like beer) so that is another 700 calories per day I could essentially eliminate.

That's fantastic, especially considering the 700 calories in beer! Good luck on your goals. Even cutting back a little bit on the beers will have a huge impact. If you can fast, you have the willpower to skip a few beers.

You will carp your pants lol. So here is my typical day. I don't count calories, carbs, fats...none of that nonsense. That is why I chose this method. Just be reasonable. Hit the Peloton bike and burn anywhere from 600-900 calories. Wait until 1PM to eat, eat again around 6PM and enjoy some brewskies then to bed. Water and black coffee only again until 1 PM the next day and repeat. So, this morning I burned 876 calories during my cardio ride. Enjoy water, coffee and green tea until lunch. Then had a center cut sirloin and steamed broccoli that measured at 800 calories. So at this point I still have a 76 calorie deficit due to the cardio so lunch was a free meal. SO basically now I have not had breakfast or lunch in terms of calories....even though I ate. So for dinner tonight I had basically the same. I'll be generous and estimate it at 1,000 calories. So even with that, I have only technically consumed 900ish calories for the day. So even with 7 beers on top of that, I would only be at 1600 calories :-). Working like a champ and the easiest way to create a calorie deficit. The cardio just puts it in beast mode. You can basically eat anything you want. I've had potatoes, breads and pasta through this three weeks.

I am now down 15.4 pounds. Been stuck here for a couple of days.
Time to finally put down the beer I suppose.

5 weeks in today. Stuck at 19 pounds down.
I knew I wasn't getting enough calories as I would only end up with anout 1,000 net per day. But, it was working. And you know the old sayin'...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I'm going to up my calories. I just need to figure out how. I don't want to eat just to eat. I need to find high calorie low carb foods!

Increase caloric intake and eat more often. That will kickstart the furnace that is your metabolism. You will again see progress.

TXFOUR the combo of inch loss and overall weight loss is great. You can have confidence knowing that is "good" weight that has been lost and sustainable.

So jealous that you can fast!! I tried it and it worked great and I loved how it felt, but it made my hormones go insane. Did some research and it looks like if affects women much more than men. Was doing 18/6 4 times/week. Now I fast 12 hours every day. It isn't recommended for women to go longer than 12 hrs. Men can do much longer.
I've heard the 48 hr one is really great.

I've heard the 48 hr one is really great. It has really worked well for me. I have read that it can effect hormones in women for sure. I am 1 pound away from 30 pounds down since March 2nd. Should hopefully hit it in the next day or so.

I am down 33 pounds now. The weight has slowed as I am adding muscle. Leanest I reckon I have ever been in my life. Was wearing a 38 waist and now a 30 or 32. Was in large shirts/shorts not small shorts and med shirts (still like my shirts baggy).
I totally should have done before and after pics but i never expected to stick with this or see these kind of results with just fasting and riding a bicycle.
Down to 178. Everyone tells me to stop losing weight, but I really want to see if I can get down to 165 and then really work on adding back the muscle.

The muscle tissue is there and will respond once you begin fueling again. Protein and balanced carbs and fats will help speed your metabolism. Congrats on the continued success!

I need to read up on proper fueling. I am going to try and drop a bit more and then start back to normal eating again. And websites you recommend to read up on fueling for lean muscle? I don't want to bulk up at all just have lean muscle and stay no heavier than 180ish.

Don't get just any trainer, not dogging trainers, but some just have a certificate and no true "background". Once you figure out a "proper" diet for what you are wanting to do, you will be amazed at what you actually eat and dependent upon the meal plans how much you actually eat to be where you are wanting to be. It's about fooling your body, in a sense, yet still providing the nutrition needed to properly fuel it.

Down 40 pounds now. Still losing. Obviously it has slowed down since I am near my goal weight and don't have as much to lose.
While the scale may be slowing, the body changes are still going very strong. I have shed so much fat through this process.

Just an update. I am a couple days away from 7 months in on this project. I still do intermittent fasting 5 days a week and cardio about the same. A minimum of 45 minutes. Still kinda eat like [censored] 3-4 days a week but try and keep it to chicken, fish and veggies but they do get old. Still enjoying my beer water everday too I am 50 pounds down and feel pretty darn good. I went from a tight 36 pant to a little loose 30". XL shirt to a small. The BMI calculaor says I am suppose to be 158 for my height and I am only a 5-ish pounds away from that. I will get down to it just for the heck of it, but that is too thin for my frame. Everyone says I need to stop losing and that I am getting too thin. I will taper off the IF and maybe just do it a couple times per week to maintain.

Well, I am down to 162...from 215.
All of my new skinny clothes I bought a month or so back are too big again :-(
Still maintain IF a minimum of 5 days per week and have turned into a cardio nerd. Running about 20 miles per week and riding the bike 40-60.
Training for the Cowtown Half-Marathon in February and will run the full Marathon in May.

The BMI calculaor says I am suppose to be 158 for my height and I am only a 5-ish pounds away from that. I will get down to it just for the heck of it, but that is too thin for my frame. Everyone says I need to stop losing and that I am getting too thin.
Ignore those who say you're too thin. If you think you're too thin, ignore that too. Society's perception of what "looks" healthy has changed drastically over the last 25-50 years because we as a country became the fattest people on earth. On the bright side, we are no longer the fattest people on earth. Mexico stole the #1 spot from us. Seriously, in addition to checking your BMI perhaps you could have a simple analysis done at a dr/nutritionist/dietician office that does a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. This analysis also tells you your body fat percentage, body water percentage, muscle mass, etc. Knowing these stats could help you better evaluate your diet and exercise needs. Sounds like you're doing a great job. Don't stop!

Have not posted in a while. I have been at my goal weight of 158 and holding for a few weeks now.
Feel better than I ever have. Eating really clean, running 30ish miles per week and cylcing 50-90 miles per week.
I have never even in my late teens/20's been as fit as I am now. I can run marathon pace for over 15 miles and not feel like death. I can go up many flights of stairs without winding like everyone who is with me.
I hope I can hang on to this change forever.
Good luck to all.

Wow, dude. You’ve whooped it! Your exercise is crazy. It’s a simple matter if people can stick to it. Burn more calories than you consume. I’ve started again. Got a little out of hand over the holidays but gonna get back to where I belong. Keep trucking.....

It's been 13 months now.
Still going strong. Riding the indoor, road and mountain bikes and running. Still eating good 95% of the time and still intermittent fast 3-5 days per week.
Sitting at 153 pounds and needing to gain 5-10.

Well, still at 154 :-). Been here for a while. Target weight was 158 by all of the calculators. But, with intermittent fasting, low carb/low fat and all of the running/cycling, 154 just seems to be where by body wants to be.
I post these updates to hopefully show others how easy this is. IF and low carb is much easier than I ever thought it would be when I started. And it is absolutely insane how effective it is.
