Sounds like there are a lot of 'hook tweekers' out there. I may try bending mine out a bit.

I use the Booyah Pad Crasher and ALWAYS throw it on 50-65 braid.

When they bite it, I wait just long enough to say one-thousand-one in my head then set it hard. I rarely miss them.
