Oviachic Report Feb. 2018

This trip went much better with great numbers shallow and deep. I took two boats to Oviachic, Mexico for 6 days of fishing. We caught a few Bass over the 1,200 mark to adverage 100 per day per boat. Each boat had 300 Bass between 4 and 7 lbs. Our largest fish was only 7.2 this year. We fished mostly brush lines in the coves next to the main ditch. Larger fish were caught shallow and deeper; from 2 ft. out to 16 ft. just depending on the contour. Most were caught on Trig Lizards and Brush Hogs. I took my guys out on the river channel and fished rock piles just off the channel for 2 days. The quality of fish were super off the rocks; but the numbers just weren�t there. The first day on the river rock piles I had 3 over 6 lbs. on my Mexico Spinner Bait which was a lot of fun. The rest came on a short Crig with big Brush Hogs. Larger Bass came of the irregular features that protruded off the rocks out to 25 ft. Many were also spawning up shallow on these same humps. ...What is your itinerary on one of these trips & what is the cost if one pulls their own boat & goes with you ?

No charge; just pay your expenses. The 10 day trip with 6 days of fishing runs about $2,500. We can go anytime; but I have to have a partner to make the trip with you. We are finished for this season with customers. I take care of all the arrangements and help you get everything ready to cross. Between now and the end of March would be the best time to go.
