Does it matter where the primer bulb is located in relation to the fuel tank or motor? Where can you get and what is the best fuel line to use ? Who makes a durable primer bulb? Thanks

Overton's carries it. I have always seen the bulb within 24 inches of the motor.

Closer to motor & i install so flow arrow (motor side) is higher than tank side. This helps keep check ball seated with gravity preventing loss of prime/leak back.

Good deal...want to replace it from tank to the motor....currently bulb is under back deck lid and I want to move it closer to the motor so it is above the deck lid and I dont have to stand on my head to prime it! Thanks for the input!

Really they are all about the same, when i had my 15hp evinrude about every 3 to 4 years the gas would eat up the rubber and make it crack, leak. With the fuel today with alot of alcohol, dont expect longivity with rubber hoses today. Academy has good selection last time i went. Im shopping now for a smaller Yamaha they local dealer here is not cheap on rubber lines.

fish safe... Make sure your fuel line meets ethanol resistant ratings. It will be printed right on the line.
