Currently I have a Scotty arm transducer mount for my Humminbird Helix 5, but when it is deployed and I am paddling looking for fish, it creates so much drag that I really have to over compensate for drag on that side. Any suggestions? I thought about a scupper plug mount, but I feel like I'd break it off or damage the transducer when loading/unloading. Pictures of transducer mounts would be awesome!

Thanks, I appreciate that info. I failed to mention that I have the side scan imaging unit so anything thru-hull won't work. Great video though.

[quote=1Cast 1Fish] Does the duck seal harden for a permanent mount? No it does not, which is the best part...it is very easy to remove and reattach is you need to. It also does not get so soft that you have to worry about the transducer moving on you. It is just about perfect IMO...just ensure a good seal with no air gaps.
