Has anyone ever used the Tac 40 setup by H2O?

I had one last season. I never had any major trouble with it and it fit my hand well. I just decided to move it out and try the 13 Fishing Inception (fit my hand better). I think when you compare the Tac 40 to other $100 reels it is a step up in quality. I can't speak to the rods though as I am a Falcon Bucoo fan.

H20 Xpress is the best cheaper reel on the market

I love the H2O brand and haven't had any problems with them.

H20 Xpress, Mettle MT2 reel is great!

Throw it with a H20 Ethos rod, you are set!

Addendum: No, I have never tried the Tac 40.

I bought a tac 40 reel. First cast I had the brakes too tight. I took off the side cover and dropped it in the lake. So, I couldn't tell ya if it is a good reel or not. The handle, however, fits my cheaper Lews reel and now I have a cool looking carbon fiber handle.

I fished with a tac 40 reel for about 4 months or so, it was an awesome reel, until I set the he hook extremely hard on a big fish wrapped up on a cypress knee. After that, it never worked the same, think I may have bent the spool. I took it back to academy and they didnt have any more at the time so I swapped it for a Curado I series. The tac 40 is light as hell, casts great and very easy to palm. Give it a try.
