What are yall's favorite ratio reel for T-Rig? I have used 6 and 7 but have been thinking about tryin something different.

The highest you got, so you can take up slack quicker for the hookset.

For a bait worked with the rod (and not the reel), reel speed don't matter for working the bait.

As an aside, I prefer smaller profile reels for TX rig. Since they fit in my hand better, I feel like I can get a better hookset.

minimum of 7.1:1 but 8 is better.

Agreed. I like a fast reel for all jig and soft plastic techniques.

When did they turn off spell check on here??

Faster the better for me so I can recover from mental lapses when I realize late that they are running back at me with it!

Since it is a drag presentation, and the reel doesn't wind the bait along...the fastest on the planet is a good choice. Reel up slack line quick and set the hook.

I use an 8:1 and 9:1. Bass pro has Revo Rockets (9:1) on clearance for $129. Pretty good deal for a fast reel.
