Insurance should cover contents if you had that coverage. You might be able to clean the hard baits using WD40.

As bad as that sounds, it could have been much worse if your charger is located where mine is. Mine is located right next to a 40 gallon gas tank. LOL!!

You may be able to rinse soft plastics with water and then soak in plastic baggies of oil based scents. For the hard baits I would fill the bathtub with dawn dishwashing liquid aand soak them for a couple of hours. Since no one else asked what charger were you using?

part of the name burned off, think it says Guess 10 amp two battery for troll
motor. came with 2007 Triton. My old charger for cranking battery is 30 years old and still works great???But not "on board". Think I will test a few lures before getting into the old favorites no longer manufactured. Thanks. yes, I do have insurance to pay for this.

The benefit of NOT leaving it plugged in all the time.
If mine isnt used i plug it in once a week till green lights show top off reached. Keeps batts in top condition without worry of electrical fire 24/7.

I just plug mine in till it charges (over night), and once a month otherwise. The batteries are still good.
