Hey All, I have a 2012 Merc 250 Pro XS, not sure of the hours, that needs a power head. The number 2 piston has no compression. The motor is financed with the boat and I do not have the title. I had the motor replaced, so Im looking at my options for the old one. Obviously I don't want to do anything "shady", just looking for some options. Thanks.

you should be able to get your new title over to who finance the boat for you and put new motor on loan and they will give you the old title so you can sale. There is a used I believe 2012 250 Pro XS on here that's been for sale for about 11,000 for a while so you may think about if its even worth selling for you to go through all the trouble. just my .02
its worth something for sure just may be worth more as parts.

yep no title not dice
Since you had the motor replace, how did you purchase the replacement motor? Is there a lien on that 2nd motor? If so, then you are in a pickle. If not, then you should be able to go to the lender and swap titles and they should release title to motor #1. That is if the 2nd motor does not have lien on it.
Otherwise you will need to part out as stated above

Does the bank have a title? They should. Texas requires a title on the motor, u may have to work with the bank on that.
