just wondering how many of your guys remove your fishing seats when trailering. Has anyone had any problems with leaving them in?

I leave my pedestal butt seat in all the time. I figure if it doesn't come out bouncing across the lake at 65 it's unlike to come out trailering at 70-75.

I was wondering if leaving them in could cause any problems. Like vibration cracks

I bought a new boat years ago and lost my front seat within a week after having it come out when trailering. Even so, I leave my pedastal seat in the bow while trailering now and have never had a problem

My local lake is pretty close, I don't get over 50 mph and only for a short distance when towing there. For that drive/tow, I leave the seats installed but not on the pedestal. The post from the seat is installed in the pedestal hole in the floor of the boat. For longer trips, the seats stay in the bed of the truck.

I don't use my seat much, but I can see in the near future that I will be. Spot-Lock has changed the game for me. Now it's sit and get no bites instead of standing there looking dumb.

I keep the seat and post under my consoles. That way when I get home I just put on the cover. Then install the seats at the lake when I go.
