Hey TFF! I've narrowed my search down to three or four boats as to the largest boat that will fit in a 22 1/2 foot deep garage, straight in, with no help from trailer jacks or angling the boat. Basscat has the new Pantera Classic (which is probably a little too narrow for my taste), the Cougar, the Caracal, and the Eyra. Riding in the new Classic next week. But the Phoenix 919 seems to be the better choice for me. The only trade off will be going from a 10" jack plate down to a 6" to make it fit. Does anyone drive one a 919 the Austin area ( or within a 100 miles) that may consider letting me ride along? Be glad to pay gas and lunch for the day. Thanks! It's time to buy a new one and sell off the old 202 Champ!

The Eyra would fit over the Cougar or Puma. I forgot the exact length of my garage but my Eyra barely fits, about an inch max clearance after I take the plastic piece off the front of the Ultrex. Same bist with a Yamaha would not fit.

Dont think a Cougar will fit straight in, I believe they require a minimum of 23. I am curious about the 919 also, Boerne Marine has a 920 and 921 and they look impressive.

I also looked at a new Panterra Classic this weekend and the front deck looks wider than most bass cats. I put a tape on it with tounge folded and motor down and it was right at 22.

Did you look at the one that Wayne has? Its wider in the front than a 819 but narrower than the Phoenix by the consoles. He has a real good price on it! (If thats the one you looked at)

Boerne Marine has a 819 right now too, someone ordered it and then decided to buy a bigger boat. I was interested, but its a lot of silver flake and I think it would be blinding in the sun.

(The 819 and 919 difference is only in motor size, the 819 has a 200. The 919 has a 225. Just in case anyone didnt know)

No, the silver doesn't blind you. It looks really good when it's all cleaned up. Can't even read the chrome phoenix logos on the side it's so sharp but it doesn't effect anything when your fishing

Its silver flake glitter over silver color, not just silver color. Ive been wanting to see it in the sunshine but we only seem to have cloudy drizzle days. Do both you have silver flake rigs and if so, do you have any pics of them? Maybe its broken up enough not to be brutal in the sun, but it sure looks like it would be bright.

They had a silver flake Skeeter last year and it was bright in the sunshine!

Grout how much are they asking for the Phoenix. I have been wanting to replace my Legend but cannot afford their V-20 since that is all they are making now.

Too much, has dual pwr poles @$55kish. Should save some $$$ if they pull them off.

I looked at the zx225 also, not sure Id like the coffin lids though. Im kind a traditionalist on layout.

So the 819 is just a slower 919?

Went to web page and that is a sweet looking boat with the right electronics. Need a dual console though for my wife. Power poles not needed by me either. Thanks for the heads up though.

819 is about 70mph rig and 919 is mid 70s, but Phoenix chinewalk bad. They say the 819 is close to the chinewalk speed but doesnt quite get there. Ive never ridden in one though, just going by what I read. The 819 should be around $46-$48k, should is the key word.
