It won't be long before somebody sells waterproofed PC's running software equal to the best DF's on the market. These things are basically just that, but probably a lot more horsepower in a PC than they can put in a finder. Those Panasonic Tough Books are just about there now I bet.

Thats a million dollar idea Bill! The tech is all off the shelf too. The laptop goes in a waterproof case. It rides in the console with cables to transducers surrounding the hull. Displays are wireless Bluetooth touchscreen.
