The Magnolia Cafe in downtown Jackson was well worth visiting. I would also appreciate it you would drop by the new Civil Rights Museum and tell me if it�s worth a visit next time I pass through. It is also worth driving through the Vicksburg battlefield should time permit.

We won't have much time. Leaving tomorrow morning fairly early and will be driving back tomorrow night. Dropping some art my wife did for the owner of the Country Squire Tobacco Shop so we will probably just hang out there all day and smoke pipes and drink whiskey. Might try the caf� though, boy gotta eat.

Had dinner at Saltine Restaurant last year - it was good, if a bit pricey. That is the place to go in Jackson if you like a variety of fresh, raw oysters.

Being my old stomping ground (not so much Jackson but Brandon). There's a really cool dive bar that's hidden in the back of Brent's Drug Store in Fondren District off of State Street. They used to have a jalapeno juleps that was bad-a. And pretty sure there's a cigar shop right there. Fondren has several nice little eateries that are good, Bobalues is a good one.
