I wish several of the lakes down here would fill back up. Y'all got it easy up in North Texas.

Cover water and don't overthink it. The fish seem to scatter when it gets real high.

It's been a little low but actually right about where it usually gets this time of year if you go off of historical averages. It's really just been abnormally high the last couple years and people have gotten spoiled to it and forgotten the norm.

That was crazy. Gvine was like 20+ ft high right? I saw water at the bathrooms at mcpherson.. I also took my old boat under the balcony at the gaylord.

Yep. It's coming.

I can use my waypoints I made last timemthe lakes flooded. Many have been on stuff that is dry land lately.

That isn't likely to happen again. 2015 was an absolutely huge statistical outlier. As I recall, the D/FW Metroplex received 62" or so of total rainfall, way above the previous record . . . and about twice the normal annual rainfall.

What would be great, though, would be to have enough rain to break the light to severe drought conditions that preceded this rain event, then have a wetter than usual summer to see us through into the fall.

Other places in Texas could only wish for some of this!

Brad

I agree, but I'm more worried about the lake flooding to the point that it will be shut down again. Hopefully I'm wrong

If the forecast is right Fork will have gates open for the next 6-8 days minimum.....cold moving water.... nope

If we get the warming trend I will go fish my home lake I'm sure.
