We just got a new Lowrance Gen 3 HDS 12. We typically fish lakes in Texas (DFW area). What map chip is best for the new unit?

Agree....this card has the most options for that chartplotter. Be sure that the first time that you use it, turn the Sonar Chart layer on for that card.
