man
tried to run as hard as i could yesterday
the muscle, tendon, or bone
that runs from the little toe to heal
is killing me on both feet

what is the remedy?

Golf ball and time.

You over did it too soon (new shoes haven't been broken in yet either) and now have Plantar fasciitis.

This is why people start running and get hurt then never run again and say "Running is bad on your body!"

It's like me going out to deadlift 300 lbs....I'd hurt myself and say "Dang weights are bad for you!"

I hope people who see this start slow and easy....we are old and fragile! Start slow and build up. It's not a "race"!

BTW, I have had it too. Mine didn't last long, 5 days or so. BUT some people go 6 months and never run again. frown

Inflammation from too much/too soon. Tennis ball rolled under your foot, calf stretches, hot bath, and ibuprofen will help short term. Keep moving too and it will loosen as the day goes along. PF is a diagnosis that typically shows itself over time and not an acute bout of overstimulation.

You can also get a brace for it to sleep in. Believe it or not, I got it this last December while sleeping.

PF is the generic term I guess. Just about all runner use this term too loosy I guess. BUT IMO it's basically what happened to you if you read up on it. Google PF and running to see better suited info.

Yes stay moving. Other time I got it, I was driving one hour to Bossier City for a job.....got there and couldn't hardly walk. Apparently if I put my foot in a certain position (such as sleeping wrong) I will get it. It hurt for weeks that first bout. I had to hobble around on the jobsite. Sucks.

Roll that golf ball as much as you can...and keep moving. Just don't run too hard for awhile. Hurts.....STOP and reevaluate.

Get a Footsie Roller...That is what it's called. You can buy it online, or they carry it at Body Logic in Dallas. Shoes could also be a bit too narrow...Or, could be your socks.

In the knee joint itself or around the joint? May not be serious and simply DOMS - delayed onset muscle soreness which commonly crops up the 2nd day after heavy training or periods of lay off. Give it a couple days and continue to nurse the foot. Foam roll your legs too if you haven't been doing that. Ibuprofen is a friend.

Build those knee muscles up. Once recouped start those workouts at the house. Squats and lunges will make you strong for running. Strengthen all areas of the legs and butt then start trying to run faster.
