I need to check out the Tennessee River. G Dam was releasing 1m gallons a second last time I checked TVA web page. River closed to all but barge traffic.

Dude, you did this a couple of years ago and got the same response. You have to take rain when you can get it, this will be much needed rain. Who cares if a couple of lakes get shut down because of flooding. Better than no useable ramps at any lake because of a drought. Go to another lake, I promise you CC wont be shut down, come on out.

I think we may be over preparing for this event.

It's all good. Just entertainment while the creeks are flooded. It still amazes me how afraid most are to admit that there is such a thing of too much rain at once LOL. You are right CC, they will get that lake leveled off fast. May have to spend the spring fishing down there.

Pouring here. Watching the rivers of my sandy topsoil flowing down the street. A slow steady shower would have helped hold it in place before the downpour hit. I may have to get the cc out later to stock up on groceries if this continues much longer. Mind you I welcome the rain and I’m not complaining at all. I just hope some of it soaks in instead of running away.

Metromess probably has nothing to worry about but here in SE Texas it could be very bad. We had flash flood warnings between woodville and lumberton 2 weeks ago after just a little rain. Water was a few inches from going over hwy 69. The ground here is still saturated from Harvey. My front yard has been soup for 5 straight months. It’s gonna be a mess down here.

Keep the Lord in your heart and keep your powder dry.

A LOT of our drainage was silted in or clogged up. A lot still is. I think we will be ok though. I would love to see the lakes back up over full pool. I would like to see rayburn go up over 5' again. As long as dams aren't breaking and people getting flooded out again.
