Hopefully this is the place to post this...if not, my apologies...

I am contemplating on purchasing a 2002 Nitro 896...I don't know if it's the Savage Hull or not... but, I hear a lot of good and bad when it comes to Nitro. The engine is a Merc...of which, I have had several...but, it's the boat itself I am trying to get feedback on.

I respect the opinion of this forum and would like to get some feedback...Thank you.

I had a 1996 Nitro 896 I bought new, ran it for 8 years, had no trouble with the boat. Stable fishing platform, handled rough water very well. Not sure how much they changed between '96 and '02.

Thank you for the reply... the rough water handling is something I am curious about.
