Hey guys and gals, you may be wondering why you haven't seen any advertising
for the 9th annual St Paul Children's Foundation Charity Tournament yet. Well
here it is. In Psalm 82:3 JESUS says "DEFEND THE WEAK AND THE FATHERLESS; UPHOLD THE CAUSE
OF THE POOR AND THE OPPRESSED". That is exactly what the ST PAUL CHILDRENS FOUNDATION here in Tyler is doing.
I have been told by many many people over the last 8 years that this is one of the best team
tournaments in the east Texas area. Im very proud to be a small part of this event every year.
Many of you come out every year and fish all day, then stay after for the 2 hour raffle where
ALL the proceeds go to the St Paul Children's Foundation, to help the over 44,000 children in and
around the Tyler area. What St Pauls does is provide Medical and Dental care FREE of charge along
with providing clothing and food, as well as other help to these children and their families.
So I want to say on behalf of myself, the St Paul Childrens Foundation staff, and the kids.
THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE SPONSORED THIS EVENT FOR 8 YEARS, AND ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE FISHED
AND PURCHASED RAFFLE TICKETS FOR THE DONATED PRIZES. Without all of you, we would not have been
able to give the Foundation over $100,000 over the last 8 years to help these KIDS, so again THANK YOU.
John Bailey CrossPointe Community Church.

This year we are changing things up. We would like to make this tournament available at a time and date so that MORE

fishing one of the great circuits we have in the east Texas area. Well we want 100 teams to come out to this awesome event.
now ya'll will be able to come join the fun.
We are thinking about having this tournament in September the 1st or the 8th, we also would like to here from all of you,
what lake you would like the tournament at, Palestine or Tyler. We would like you all to VOTE.
Its up to you what lake we have the 9th annual St Paul Childrens Foundation Charity Team Bass Tournament at.
The Lake that gets the most votes is where we will have the tournament. the deadline for your votes will be April 15th
**PLEASE VOTE ONCE FOR YOUR LAKE IN THE EVENT OF A TIE THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND TOURNAMENT STAFF WILL CHOOSE THE LAKE.**
We look forward to seeing what lake you choose. God Bless John

I got second in your tournament last year. You called all of us that got a check behind the weigh-in stage and asked us when did we think would be the best time of year to have it. Everyone responded March. You mentioned having it in September-October and we all said that is a bad time because of hunting season. The best time to have a tournament on any lake in Texas for participation and the fishing... is late February or March. April at the latest. Bass are in transition in September.

April 28th date looks to be a good date for either lake. I don't think you will draw more boats moving it to September but that's just my opinion. It's a great tournament and I fish it when my schedule allows it. Good luck!

Thanks guys for your input. First of all we have had 8 annual tournaments in the months of April, May, and I'm checking,
but I believe we had at least 1 tournament in March. With that said we have averaged 45 teams a tournament
including 1 Tournament in May at lake Palestine. At that tournament we only had 39 teams. Now my whole purpose in doing this event
is to make as much money for the KIDS, and for the ST Pauls Foundation, that we can. Last year, there were two other charity tournaments
in the months of September or October, both tournaments drew over 95 teams. Well, that's where we want to be for this charity event
this year. For whatever reason we may not draw that many teams but it wont be from the lack of trying something NEW.
It takes around 4 months to collect all the raffle prizes for the raffle, time to have the shirts printed, that we give out to all the fishermen,
time to print all the advertising. To say allot of work and time goes into this event is an understatement.
We do this for Gods Glory and the over 44,000 Kids that St Pauls provides for each year.
I hope y'all will find that the St Paul Children Foundation CHARITY bass tournament, a worth while event no matter when or where
it is. The Date will be September 8th, and I'm doing something that I have'nt seen any other tournament director do.
And that is letting you, the fishermen PICK the lake. It will be determined by popular demand (your votes).
And in the event of a tie the tournament director and staff will determine what lake it well be held on.
Last year we asked some of you your OPINIONS on this matter, and you gave them to us and we appreciate them.
We have asked allot more people that gave us their opinions as well. So we have decided to have the
9th Annual St Paul Childrens Foundation CHARITY Bass Tournament this September 8th 2018. We hope and pray
that y'all will join us and help us make this a huge success for these KIDS.

Those Tournament's that had the big turnout that time of year paid 5000 to win. That makes a big difference. I've fished all the St Paul's tournaments on Lake Tyler and everyone has been in April. I still have all the T-shirts..lol:)
