We started fishing around 7:30 last night and ended around 1am. The fish have definitely started moving back down the lake. We caught fish in Cedar, Caddo, and South from there. We did not go past South D&D boat ramp. A lot of fish were caught last night. It was at least a 60 fish night. Who is counting!! When fish bite that good it is hard to keep up. The only down side to the trip was the number of small fish caught. A lot of 14-18 inch fish were caught. A lot of good fish were caught as well. The cold weather has kept the fishing action at a high level. Any one interested in a night trip contact me.
Depends on the depth of the water at the lighted area. Most of the docks/lights are 25 feet or less. With the water being in the 40's lately we have been catching them near the bottom. I found some 50 degree water last night and fish were caught pretty shallow. A lot of the bait fish were near the surface. So were the stripers.
Great fishing to be had right now. Good numbers and good size. The rest of the month should be great. It will take a while for the water temps. to rise enough to slow the fishing down. If anyone is interested in a nighttime trip send a PM and we can get a trip set up.
