I'm looking for a device for my mom. Does anyone have any experience with the alert devices and services for elderly or disabled people? I have been researching online and it's hard to know which ones are any good. Please let me know if you have some advice on this. THANKS!
Some of the factors:
- home vs mobile
- range (if home only)
- battery life of device
- reliability of device and service
- cost (buy, setup, service)

I'm not saying they won't work but in my dads case and many more of the elderly people won't think to use it when needed its sad but I've already seen this twice

Life Alert, my grandma has it and I am on the call list. They call quickly and will even call if it's a false alarm....like accidental pushing in it shower or whatever. Fire Department is right down the road so it's always been SUPER FAST!

We had one when we home-cared my Mom. It worked within the home just fine.
We changed the batteries every other week.
Probably around $30.00
No clue re: the mobile devices.
