Got a buddy running a pretty hot Yamaha with a counter rotating unit on his Bullet. Says its faster when you spin it the other way hehehe know "that guy" well!!!... if that would hold water, ya would hard pressed ta finda bullet in tha "southeast" with a clockwise gear case!...... but "it is" a Yamaha...

I'm pretty open minded, but THAT makes zero sense.
And after a lifetime of driving right hand rotating props, Not sure my brain could handle driving something that wanted to torque the opposite direction. Might just send me straight to the looney bin.

My boat is heavy enough that the torque is not very noticeable. I'll never get enough of it out of the water to worry about chine walking.  My boat also takes a 14-15 pitch prop that are readily available in counter rotating models since they are common in offshore boats.
