All I'm after are the eater Channel or small Blue using punch or dip bait.Has anyone ever tried the barbless hooks? How did it work?

As long as you keep pressure on, barbless work great.

Thanks, I don't have a need to keep anything over 4 or 5 LB and getting the hook out with ease to the fish is a factor in my asking.

Give it a try, If you lose a bunch of fish, give it up. A good mouth spreader and a pair of needle nose pliers works for me on channels.
