Heres the next million bucks idea

Sonar much like my back up cam/alarm added to phones to keep Folks from running into stuff when using their phones and walking. Its time.

Sonar: a system for the detection of objects under water and for measuring the water's depth by emitting sound pulses and detecting or measuring their return after being reflected.

Bad idea or you might need a tech to do the scientific stuff. I mean how many people are bumping into stuff under water?
You may have meant radar or motion detector.

I tried saving money on sonograms when my wife was pregnant with our daughter, but I couldnt convince her to lay down under the transducer of my boat. Im still convinced that the side scan would have worked.

Not an Idea but I bought 1/2 of 1 percent of a startup steakhouse chain in 1988. I had to borrow 5000$ to do it. later that year the guy that got me in on it offered me 10,000$ for my share, I thought I had made out like a bandit.....Doubled my money.

That 1/2 of 1 percent is worth millions today. bang....I guess my ship has sailed without me.

I had an idea for a cast net that you could actually cast with your rod. Always hated seeing folks with big nets taking way more bait than they would ever use. Got the idea when fishing from the surf and the bait was out too far with regular net. Thought folks worldwide would buy it but never got around to building it as it would require spring loading to make it open and some special aerodynamics to make it come down properly. I did look into to who were the best net builders in Florida at the time. Still think it would work.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Good one - maybe a larger A-rig frame with a horizontal parachute net attached to pull through the bait schools with a surf rod/reel.

I never thought of dragging it but more like a conventional cast net. I also had an idea for one shaped like a football for the sporting netter. A little more complicated for closer in bait, but much more fun. roflmao
