Had a few hours before work today so I decided to hit the bank. Came out with a new PB and an adrenaline rush hangover. I had four rods with me but for some reason the carp only hit on one, even after I moved them all. All fish were caught on balls of white bread and were released to fight another day.

First fish of the day and my new PB of 13.2lb 27in! A nice old man came through and helped me take this photo and shared some stories from China afterwards.

Second of the day coming in just shy of my new PB at 13lb and 28in.

Seems like they keep getting smaller over time, this one's 9lb and 25.5in but still a blast to catch!

This is actually the same Koi I caught roughly two weeks ago! He's missing an eye on his left side, same as last time. Still 9lb and 25in, though. I figure since I've caught him twice I might as well name him. Unless someone comes up with a better name, I'm going with "El Tigre de un Ojo."

Not a fish, but a new species for me! These guys are a pain, always eating my method mix. After catching (and gently releasing) this one, they stayed away. Unfortunately, the carp did too.
My most successful solo trip to date with approximately 47lbs of fish (with a few small catfish not pictured) caught. The Smallmouth Buffalo I've been after still eludes me, but I'll catch one someday. Thanks for reading and tight lines!
