My wife got me a "toy" drone for Christmas which had issues out of the box, it was returned and eventually ended up with this....here are some sample photo's taken with it.

It has been interesting to find out about what is what with them.

If you ever decide to get one, make sure and get one that has GPS functionality... you really just cannot fly them wrong.

I have show/ demonstrated this to a few folks since I got it and now 2 seperate roof'er company owners are getting one to assist with their roof inspections.

Mine has altitude hold, return to home, follow me mode, and circle/orbit mode

My first thought was wow, that takes GREAT pictures. What brand/model drone did you get?

Tbird and Wylie: It is the Hubsan H501s, the standard model (does not have external antennae ) priced starting @ $205.00 on Amazon.

One other thing, this particular type of quad copter/ drone has to registered with the FAA, cost to register is $5.00.. make sure you do not fall for the scams trying to get 29-49 dollars to register

Don and Wylie: The pictures/video straight off the micro sd card are crystal clear and sharp, again the posting of the pic's on this post dumbed down the actual finished product.

How much wind can they handle?

uncle_bagster: I have yet to fly it on a really windy day, youtube video's suggest it handles fairly well.

I would think that the more gps satellite lock's you get the more stable it would be.
