i ordered 4 Missile soft plastics; they put them in a white pouch, delivered by FedEx...somehow, the pouch was smashed and broke open 2 pkts so i emailed Academy about it...they immediately told me give them the SKU #'s so they could replace them...also, i had a rod delivered with a broken tip...same thing...immediate replacement...those folks know what customer service means~~~!!!~~~

I don't understand how that's an academy shipping problem. Academy even said they will make it right. Sounds like whoever they use to ship sucks. And from my experience they use FedEx alot and yeah FedEx sucks.

Academy does a lot of ship from store. It could be a combination of FedEx and/or the store associate not getting it packaged properly. With that said, I have received orders from Academy in less than 24 hours just with their regular free shipping due to their ability to ship from stores.

i suggested they NOT ship in the white soft bags...use BOXES to protect the contents...i agree, it wasn't Academy's fault it got smashed but a box would have protected that...regardless, they made it right immediately...EXCELLENT customer service

I had quite the opposite experience. Ordered a bunch of little baits on clearance to fill the $25 minimum.so far it’s come in three boxes all unreasonably sized for the item inside.

Did you complain because the soft plastics came out of the bag....or were they missing?

the gunk in the bag was all over the other 3 bags and there was little left in the opened bag... Did you complain because the soft plastics came out of the bag....or were they missing?

I think Academy shipping is one of their strong points. True that they often ship in several containers , but I would rather get some of the order early rather then wait for the whole thing. Also like their $25 dollar minimum free shipping (keeps me from ordering [censored] I don't need), not to mention I'm not paying sales tax.

Academy shipping has always been good for me. My son ordered a Falcon Inshore rod, and it arrived in an undamaged tube, but the rod was broken about nine inches from the tip. I simply emailed them, within ten minutes I had a reply and a prepaid shipping label. A new rod arrived two days later before I had even sent the old one back. The multiple package deal suits me, I get my stuff quicker that way.

I bought a couple of all star classics last year on sale for $19. They came in 4 shipments and all 4 were broken in at least 1 spot. No problems returning them though.
