How many folks count steps during the day? My goal is exceed 12K steps at least 4 days a week, whether it be walking and/or jogging. Yesterday, I went out for a 4mi walk and that's about 10K and then adding to the normal routine I achieved 14K. Felt good because I haven't been able to do that in a while since my skiing injury on Dec 26th. It's time to get down to my desired weight. I plan to make it a slow process, but the goal is 225lbs by end of May...I'm at 238 now. Then, we'll see what the next goal leads to. Good luck to everyone in trying to be "more healthy".

I count them. Right now my watch's goal is 9830, but I've been down on milage so it's slopped me back off. Last year it was around 14K...I was getting some miles in running and training. I hit my goal everyday. I try not to sit down, only to drive, eat, and type out this short message.

Yup I shore do. Got my Fitbit Charge last year.
Or is it a blaze? IDK but wither way I wear it religiously and target 12k steps a day. I hit that more often than not. It for sure makes you more mindful about stuff like taking the stairs not the elevator, parking in the very back of parking lots, getting up from my desk and work and walking around for 5 mins of each hour. I think it has helped me in losing some lbs.

I haven't been getting my 14K steps in, so I've changed my goal to 10K. I have been accomplishing that 4 times a week. Weight loss has been slow, but consistent. I'm back down to 231lbs.
Danno.....how's your stuff going? And Butch, have you wore a hole in your jogging shoes yet? Or did the dog eat a hole in 'em?
I'm still shooting for 225 by the end of May. That's only 6 lbs....I think I can, I think I can.

I been hustling all morning....just sat down for the first time. 7K for the day so far. After yard work tonight, I will be well over. Best thing to do....avoid sitting. Stay busy doing projects. I try not to sit down all day, except to drive and eat....and check the TFF a minute after my paperwork. I usually don't sit down at home until 30 minutes after dark. TV hasn't been on in my house in a month. (My wife and kid do watch tablets or internet, but not me.) I got so many projects and so little daylight to do them in. That's how I roll each day!

Yup I am still getting my step on. Good week this week.
Here is what I got so far this week.
Sun-13,840 Mon- 15,870 Tues- 18,576 Wed- 12,336 Thur- 13,779
I am doing a challenge on the Fit Bit deal, "Work Week Hustle" and I am crushing the competition.
Key is, if I am not stepping (walking) for more than 10 mins I need to figure out how to. I will pace around my office on conference calls all day for example. At home if I am watching TV I get up and walk around the house during commercials. Just stuff like that to keep moving.

We just started a fitness challenge here at work and it's helping a lot to keep me accountable. I shoot for 12,000/day. It's easy except those days where I'm stuck behind the computer for 12 hours. Sometimes I forget to take if off when I'm roping and the 25,000 steps make me feel super accomplished.

Again on those days I am in the office, I will pace while on calls, and just get up and walk the room a few times an hour for a couple mins.... it adds up

I have a fitbit, the place I work gives incentives for active folk on insurance premiums. I range from minimum 10K on normal days and up to 25,000 on training days (I box and do Muay Thai which adds em up quick)

Nope never have kept up with steps. I log daily activity levels and training sessions as guide.

I have noticed there is a big difference between watches. My Samsung watch at 6,000 steps is equivalent to my Fitbit at about 10,000. The Samsung also doesn't give you credit for a bumpy car ride or walking the dog on a frog or spook.
